VIGIL History

Can you remember what the world looked like just after the Soviet Union broke apart? Our founders travelled to Eastern Europe at the time into a society that had just managed to break free from an oppressive system.

People were optimistic and wanted to sail to new horizons – but how? Nobody knew how to pursue all these new hopes and dreams, because some of the shackles still kept them captive: corrupt systems and traumatic experiences.

This was the situation our founders encountered when they arrived in Eastern Europe. They quickly gathered a competent team of instructors: former police officers, corruption specialists and trauma experts.

Within a few weeks the fame of the new courses had reached all the countries of the former Soviet block. The number of requests surpassed all expectations: Eastern Europe, Russia, even China and Mongolia, and soon after South American and African countries like Colombia, Liberia, Sudan, South Africa, and others followed suit.

Our current focus is Ukraine. By end of May 2023 we have conducted more than a dozen seminars for institutions of the Ukrainian government (e.g. the Department of Justice, the Cabinett of Ministers and the High Anti-Corruption Court). Thanks to supporters like you, we can empower leaders and heal communities worldwide!
